Since more than 40 years Muraro has been manufacturing presses and dies for medium and large sized Hydroforming by various pressing forces on sheet and pipes by traditional working cycles. Some years ago Muraro developed an absolutely new innovating technology bringing huge economic advantages as far as the dies costs and the machine cost are concerned, obtaining at the same time an elevated quality of the products hydroformed at low, medium and high pressure. By this new technology the costs, as far as the machine is concerned, are more than halved. Man-machine and process interface has been reduced to the minimum because the machine automatically performs a substantial part of the operative programm by a self-learning. The available forces of such presses range from 5.000 to 50.000 tons, the dimensions of the working tables range from 3.000 to 12.000 mm. Such presses can be equipped and employed not only for hydroforming of sheets and pipes but also for elastoforming and flexoforming. Muraro in the design of these new presses has taken particularly into account (thanks to the very new and sophisticated design systems) the possibility to install such BIG PRESSES also in a room of minimum height and requiring minimum foundations. Machines with a power of severals ten thousand tons have been realized, their foundations are not more than 1 m high, their height above the ground does not exceed about 4 m. At Muraro a technical, highly qualified office is always at the customer’s disposition, to analyze and solve the various problems related to hydroforming and what else should it be asked to solve; always very quickly and absolutely free of charge.
