MURARO heating and warm shearing plants originate from the necessity to substitute the traditional bar cold shearing plants by more modern systems characterized by an advanced technology which enhance not only product productivity and quality but also costs economy.

The plants MURARO as a matter of fact allow a considerable costs saving under various aspects:

  • Material coming from continous casting can be employed without any need of particular thermic treatments;

  • From the material stock to the employment zone a single manipulation of the bars bundles is carried out thus eliminating the longer times due to the feeding by small blocks and thus eliminating any noise;

  • A considerable reduction of the drawing scraps is obtained due to the minor quantity of flash;

  • During possible interructions due to interventions on the dies or on the presses, the heating system commands the stop at the exit of the warm pieces sheared by introducing into the coils for a certain period of time enough energy to maintain the temperature so that at the re-start of the working cycle the sheared pieces are ready at the drawing temperature;

The MURARO induction heating and warm shearing plants are particularly fonctional and reliable and conceived so that intervention rapidity is easened in case of necessity.

Electronic management

Command and control of each single phase and of the whole plant is obtained by a computerized system dedicated to such type of working.

The performance parameters are set by a keyboard and are visualized through a monitor. Computerized management controls and commands all the following functions:

  • All the movements and synchronisms starting from the bars charger to the piece dischargement;

  • The value of the bar temperature and keeping such value within preestablished limits;

  • The process cadence and the adjustment of the whole feeding phase at the set cadence;

  • The keeping the costs of the plant at an average value of about 0,9;

  • The control of the power employed;

  • The management of the stand-by function, i.e. partialization of the oven power, bars hanging inside the oven, temperature control and re-start of the production cycle;

  • The control and elaboration for the automatic test-code elimination;

  • The control of the function of continous research of anhomalies by visualization on the monitor of the most part of possible anhomalies and of the alarms which can manifestate corresponding to the critical working.

Billets shearing devices

The plants consist of:

  • Bars stock equipped with bars charger and singularization device and rolls feeding way motorized by d.c. motor with reversible speed. The rolls way can be equipped with charge station for fonction of the plant by using billets instead of bars.

  • Cradle for the warm bars coming back from the oven.

  • Inductors equipped with rolls for the bars support motorized by direct current with reversible speed. On the bar the inductors in this first phase realize a first pre-heating phase, a second heating phase and a third maintenance phase. The oven power can be partialized to realize the stand-by function i.e. the bar hanging inside the oven. The oven can be equipped with a system of inductors quick replacement.

  • Special billets warm shearing device equipped with oleodynamic drive system, pirometer, device for the square shearing, gauge to measure the piece with computer measure control. The billets shearing devices are strongly cooled next to the shearing wire and can be dismounted very easily.

  • Sheared piece discharge system by means of an horizontal ejector and three-way sliding device.
    The discharge system can consist of an automatic manipulator which picks up the piece from the shearing device and deposits it in a point fixed and precise in a vertical or horizontal position however by oriented fibers.

  • General electronic management by means of a special computer.
